A technique to spread your business message


If you spend hours writing a blog post, that will hopefully bring some traffic to your site and ramp up your authority, then it’s a good idea to spread your business message as far as you can and get the maximum exposure. Below is a very quick technique I use to get my posts on 5 or 6 different sites straight away.

  • After watching your video for posterous.com, a couple of questions crossed my mind...

    why should I have blogs (with same content) on multiple blog hosts? Would it give more exposure?

    If yes, how....since the content would be same, won't I be promoting my blogs to the same group of readers?

    Does blog hosting sites work like forums where members can see and comment on each other's blogs?

    Blogging is a very very new concept to me so please forgive me if I have asked the most dumbest questions! :)

    If you're relying on SEO then having x-ple blogs won't make much sense - same content same search - but getting high in rankings as a new company/blog is very hard to do. This method is what I call the 'breadcrumb effect' - it puts bits of your content in as many places as possible for people to find when just surfing. Although many people start off with a search they very often go from site to site after that and you want to be in that chain. eg someone searching for a technique to spread their message might find this blog post, they read down and find your comment, read it and click on your link - tada another lead that you want to capture on your email list or RSS
